Winter Break

Hello Parents and students,

Please remember that our students should continue their 20-30 minutes of reading throughout the break. Becuase we are in a reading class, it is vital that they continue this reading to improve their skills. They have all been given a Book report form to assist in the bookreport. This is due upon their return it is worth 100 points. This is more than twice all their other homework assignments combined. Please encourage all your students to do this on their own. They are in middle school and this is a grade level expectation .

If your students are in my social studies class, they have a packet on India they are expected to read and know for a quiz when they come back.

Enjoy your holiday!

Paragraph of the Week

Parents and Students,

This week constitutes the beginning of our homework assignments. There will be two each week.
1: Paragraph of the week: Students will be given a copy of the assignment on Monday's. They will need to spend 5-10 minutes each day to complete the assignment. Last week, we did a sample paragraph in class, doing a little bit each day. Our students know should understand the process. They will also record in their agenda each day what they are supposed to do that day. This is not something that they should be doing in class, they will loose points for doing so.

2: Reading: students will need to record what they are reading and the number of pages they read each night. Then, at the end of the week, they will need to get your signature. This will be recorded in their agenda. It will be checked on Monday's.
