Paragraph of the Week

Parents and Students,

This week constitutes the beginning of our homework assignments. There will be two each week.
1: Paragraph of the week: Students will be given a copy of the assignment on Monday's. They will need to spend 5-10 minutes each day to complete the assignment. Last week, we did a sample paragraph in class, doing a little bit each day. Our students know should understand the process. They will also record in their agenda each day what they are supposed to do that day. This is not something that they should be doing in class, they will loose points for doing so.

2: Reading: students will need to record what they are reading and the number of pages they read each night. Then, at the end of the week, they will need to get your signature. This will be recorded in their agenda. It will be checked on Monday's.

Mrs. Vega

2011-2012 School Year

Welcome Back students!

I am so very excited to have you part of my class. My expectations are high, and may seem difficult for you to achieve. However, I know that if you work your hardest, and make a dedicated effort you will succeed. This year you will be learning more about reading fluently, writing paragraphs and essays, and reading for fun.

Be prepared to have home work each week. It is not much, but it will make a difference between a good writer and a poor one.

I will be available for Stallion Round-up every Tuesday and Thursday morning. You may come if you choose to have assistance with your homework, or would like to do your Read 180 computer work.

I'm looking forward to this school year, and I hope you are as well.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Vega
